T'is the night before Christmas

T'is the night before Christmas

T'is the night before Christmas
 And all though the house,
Not a creature is stirring
Except, maybe, my mouse.
The stockings are hung on the mantle I see
I’m sure St. Nicholas will be thinking of me.
Mama in her gown and Papa in his cap
Are watching me take my winter cat-nap
The tree is all decked in what are called toys
Cause my big brother told me they’re all for us boys.
He loves candy canes – chewing them all
I swat what sparkles – watching them fall.
Fire in the fireplace, balls on the floor,
Gifts to be opened, ribbon galore.
Then on to the couch where we both lie
For we’re buddies for life, Galileo and I.
We wish every cat could find what we’ve found
A home where all love doth freely abound
And reasons to purr every day of the year.
So we might wish to all of our friends dear
Those round us right now
and those out of sight
Happy Christmas to all,
and a purr-fect good-night
